Fingerprinting
One-time AYSO-specific fingerprint requirement completed through LiveScan. Note: Fingerprinting done for other organizations (e.g., Lucia Mar) does not fulfill this requirement—it must be done through LiveScan for AYSO.

SafeSport Training
Full course (90 minutes) required in your first year, renewed every four years, with annual 30-minute updates in between. If completed for another youth sports league, email your certificate to your division coordinator.
How to Complete: A link to SafeSport will appear in your AYSO volunteer account after you register. Click the link to access the SafeSport website, log in, and complete the full course.

How to Complete: Log into AYSOU (see guidance section above) and search for Concussion Awareness in the Training Library. Enroll, complete the course, and save your certificate.

Role-Specific Training
For Coaches & Referees
👨🏫 COACHES
Minimum Age: 18 years old
Coaching same division as last season? No new training needed.
Coaching a new division? Complete the online coaching course through AYSOU (see guidance section above for how to access AYSOU).
Online Course: Search for your division's coaching course in the Training Library and complete it.
In-Person Training: After completing the online course, enroll in the in-person field session for your division (date TBD). Bring your completion certificate to the session.
🏁 REFEREES
Step 1 - Online Course: Log into AYSOU and search for the Regional Referee course in the Training Library. Enroll, complete the course, and pass the exam. Print or screenshot your certificate.
Step 2 - In-Person Training: After completing the online course, enroll in the in-person referee training session (date TBD). Bring your completion certificate to the session.
