(All on Don Roberts field: Soto Field Sports Complex )

   8/22, Thur,   5:30 - 7 pm    OR      8/27, Tues, 5:30 - 7 pm  OR    9/4, Wed,  5:30 - 7 pm

Regional Referee Course with online  module:
Must complete the online referee course (@ AYSOU.org) & pass exam

8/21, Wed,  6 -  8:30 pm    OR    9/5, Thur,  6 - 8:30 pm 

OR

Regional Referee Course with no online module/course  
You must attend BOTH sessions

Referee Training

Get Trained to Referee!

Have a great time while ensuring Region 83 kids can play safe, fair and fun soccer. Earn playoff points for your favorite team this season by refereeing. Are you a 14U player? You can earn points for your own team by refereeing 10U games! Games cannot be played without trained referees, so please get trained and join the referee staff.

The following steps must be completed in order:

To Become a 8U Official:


To Become a Regional Referee (10U ):

  1. Register as a volunteer.
  2. Complete AYSO’s Safe Haven and CDC Concussion Awareness online courses.
  3. Attend a 8U Training Course.
  1. Register as a volunteer. (If you're a youth, follow these instructions)
  2. Complete AYSO’s Safe Haven and CDC Concussion Awareness online courses.
  3. Complete the Regional Referee Training online course and pass the exam
     (The link below will take you to the AYSO National training page for all three courses). 
  4. Attend one in-person Regional Referee Companion Course.

    1.  Both 1 and 2 as above 
    2.  
    Attend a 2 part in-class only Regional Referee Training course

         (no required online course but you must attend both classes

  • 8U Official is training for refereeing 8U games
  • Regional/Basic Referee training is for 10U games as a fully uniformed Regional Referee
  • Print a copy of your certificates of completion for Safe Haven, Concussion Awareness and Regional Referee Online training
  • Bring printout/screenshot of certificate of completion of online Reg Ref training to the in-class portion of the training

Remember: the better trained we are as AYSO coaches, referees, or management, the more our kids benefit from AYSO programs.
