5 Cities All-Stars

AYSO Region 83 All-Stars

The All-Star Program gives 10U–14U players a chance to further develop their skills and enjoy extra competition after the regular season.

Players are chosen based on skill, sportsmanship, positive attitude, commitment, and coach recommendations.

All-Star teams represent our region in tournaments across AYSO Area Q — including Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Five Cities, Nipomo, Santa Ynez, and Lompoc. Teams that advance compete in the Section 10 Playoffs (held in Bakersfield each February), and possibly at the Western States Championships in California, Arizona, or Nevada.

Players are expected to prioritize All-Star practices and tournaments over other sports or extracurricular activities.

Every All-Star team is responsible for providing a referee team of at least THREE qualified, certified referees for each tournament. Players whose parents volunteer to referee during the All-Star season may be given priority.

The players will be notified by November 21st if they made the All-Star team.

Coaches are NOT allowed to talk about All-Star selections until AFTER the Ken Claassen Tournament!!!

Program Details

All-Stars is a great development program for players who want to continue to develop their skills and create long lasting bonds with fellow teammates and coaching staff. 5 Cities AYSO would like to invite all interested players to join us, regardless of skill level. In most cases, more than one team per gender and age division is formed so please don't hesitate to tryout. All we ask is that players try their best and have the desire to learn and develop their soccer skills.

A player selected for this program has demonstrated skill and aptitude for the sport, a positive and coachable attitude, and good sportsmanship. Players will be provided the opportunity to increase skills and is expected to continue demonstrating good sportsmanship, leadership, and team commitment.

All Star Commitment:

Selected players are expected to commit to the entire All-Star season.
If All-Star players are participating in other recreational activities during the All-Star season, they are expected to put the All-Star program as their top priority. Players who are unable to commit to playing in every All-Star season tournament may be excluded from the selection process.

Practice: 2 practices per week during tournament season (with a break for Christmas)

Estimated Cost for All Star Registration: $380 (2024-2025 cost) Final cost for 2025-2026-TBD.

Home and away jerseys, shorts, socks, and an All-Star Jacket. (All-Star backpack for additional fee)
Additional cost may be added to account for field permits, equipment, and practice lights.
Families will be responsible for travel expenses (hotel/food/transportation).
